Sri Lanka to Host 15th Textile Series of Exhibitions in March 2026

A press conference was held on February 24, 2026 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel to announce the upcoming 15th Sri Lankan Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions, scheduled for March 5-7 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), bringing together industry leaders, stakeholders, and media to reaffirm the event’s role as Sri Lanka’s leading textile and apparel sourcing platform.

Sri Lanka’s textile and apparel sector is set for a major industry convergence as the 15th Sri Lankan Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions returns from March 5-7, 2026 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), Colombo.

Organised by CEMS-Global USA, the milestone edition marks the 25th anniversary of its globally recognised Textile Series of Exhibitions - underscoring the organiser’s long-term commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s apparel manufacturing ecosystem and deepening its integration into global supply chains.

Positioned as the country’s most comprehensive textile and apparel sourcing platform, the exhibition aims to provide manufacturers with direct access to cutting-edge machinery, innovative materials, chemicals, and strategic global partnerships at a time when competitiveness in export markets remains crucial.

Strong Institutional Backing

The event is endorsed and supported by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA), and the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters (SLCGE), reflecting broad-based industry confidence in the platform.

Senior industry leaders attending the official announcement included Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman and CEO of EDB; Felix Fernando, Chairman of JAAF; Rajitha Jayasuriya, Chairperson of SLAEA; S.S. Sarwar, Group CEO of CEMS-Global USA; and Abhishek Das, Group Director of CEMS-Global.

Integrated Textile Value Chain Under One Roof

The 2026 edition will once again present a fully integrated textile value chain ecosystem through three co-located exhibitions:

  • 13th Textech Sri Lanka International Expo on textile and garment technology and machinery

  • 15th Colombo International Yarn & Fabric Show 2026 focusing on yarn, fabric, trims and accessories

  • 51st DyeChem Sri Lanka International Expo on dyestuff and fine and specialty chemicals

Together, these exhibitions create Sri Lanka’s most comprehensive sourcing environment — connecting manufacturers with global solution providers across machinery, materials, chemicals, sustainability technologies, and innovation partners.

Catalysing Industry Modernisation

For more than 15 years, the Sri Lankan edition has functioned as a strategic industry catalyst, enabling local manufacturers to strengthen productivity, adopt advanced technologies, diversify sourcing options, and build cross-border collaborations.

As global buyers increasingly prioritise resilience, sustainability, speed-to-market, and trusted manufacturing partnerships, industry observers note that Sri Lanka remains well positioned to capture higher-value apparel opportunities. Platforms of this scale play a critical role in accelerating modernisation and reinforcing the country’s standing as a reliable sourcing destination.

CEMS-Global’s presence in Sri Lanka dates back to 2009, when CEMS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. was established during the country’s post-conflict recovery phase. Since then, the organiser has launched several B2B trade platforms across textile and apparel, logistics, shipping, and energy sectors - contributing to Sri Lanka’s broader industrial and export development.

Globally, the Textile Series of Exhibitions is held annually across Bangladesh, Brazil, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, positioning the Sri Lankan edition within a wider international trade network.

More Than a Trade Fair

As the Textile Series celebrates its 25th anniversary, organisers are positioning the Sri Lankan edition as more than a conventional exhibition - rather, a strategic industry gathering designed to foster innovation, attract international engagement, and strengthen Sri Lanka’s manufacturing foundation.

The three exhibitions will run daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
