Aarong Unveils 'Winter Wonderland 2025' to Celebrate Bangladeshi Artisans and Heritage Crafts
Month-long Tejgaon carnival to feature crafts, food, concerts, family activities and BRAC’s social enterprises
Aarong has announced its month-long festive carnival, “Winter Wonderland 2025: A Celebration of Crafts,” set to transform the brand’s Tejgaon outlet throughout December. The event aims to spotlight the artisans, traditions and stories behind Bangladesh’s rich craft heritage and bring communities together in a vibrant, family-friendly setting.
The Tejgaon outlet will take on a carnival-like atmosphere, showcasing jamdani, nakshi kantha, hand embroidery, jewellery, rickshaw art and a wide range of traditional crafts. Aarong says the festival celebrates the rural artisans whose skills and craftsmanship have shaped the brand for nearly five decades. On festival days, the outlet will remain open for late-night shopping until 11 pm.
Each week of Winter Wonderland 2025 will feature a different theme, including a Pitha Uthshob, Thanda Beats, wedding-themed festivities and weekly concerts featuring some of the country’s leading musical artists. The final week will culminate in a special grand finale concert.
Designed as a full-day family experience, the carnival will offer food carts serving popular local street foods such as pithas, fuchka, chotpoti, kebabs and other seasonal favourites. A dedicated Kids’ Zone, Terracotta Tales carnival games and hands-on do-it-yourself craft spaces will add to the festive atmosphere, alongside live music from prominent performers.
The event will also introduce visitors to the refreshed aarong.com through a dedicated experience zone. Several BRAC social enterprises will participate as well, including Aarong Origins, BRAC’s premium food brand; Aarong Dairy, supporting rural farmers with quality dairy products; BRAC Healthcare, offering community-based health services; and Otithi, BRAC’s culture-driven hospitality and tourism initiative.
Aarong states that Winter Wonderland 2025 underscores the organisation’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and social impact, strengthening the connection between customers and the communities behind every handcrafted product.
